Carnegie Mellon University Slated To Be Among the Top 25 Schools among Foreign Students
The International Institute of Education has come up with a list of top schools in the United States and rated CMU at the 25th position. CMU got this rank owing to 5,501 undergraduate and graduate students enrolling into its various campuses and comprising nearly 40% of the total strength.

Heading this list is New York University which has 11,164 international students. Also included in this list are 10 Big Ten Conference schools which includes Penn State, taking up the 13th rank as it is home to 7,024 offshore candidates.

Three universities each from California and Texas fall into the group along with the University of Pennsylvania, ranked 21st with about 6,024 foreign students.

CMU was one among the 13 schools in the group that showed a double-digit percentage growth in students of foreign descent as compared to last year’s 16%. All these universities together comprise more than a fifth of all international students to the United States.
