MSSU Witnesses a Rise in Foreign Students
The Missouri Southern State University has seen a rise in the number of overseas students enrolled for its various programs by 20% when compared to last year. The State of Missouri is holding the 12th rank nationally, after showing a steady rise of 5% from the last academic year.

The International admissions counselor attributes this increase to the fact that the locals in Southwest Missouri are very friendly, adjusting and accommodating with the outsiders. The global presence of students here benefits the local students also as it broadens their cultural horizons. The foreign students bring about contributions to the community and campus.

The other major benefit that Missouri gets from the innumerable number of foreign students enrolling there each year is a fillip to its economy. According to Craig Thompson, MSSU International Admissions Counselor these figures are slated to double within the next couple of years.
