Over 2L overseas students from 100 countries throng UL

Ireland-based University of Limerick has announced that over two-lakh international students from across 100 countries have applied for admissions this year. Speaking about the same, the representatives of the ‘varsity mentioned that the intake has boosted the mid-west by 19 million Euros.

The university officials have also said that at least 150 overseas students were from Brazil. Briefing the media, the director of the international education division, Josephine Page has said that the international students impact their economy and tourism.

Meanwhile, the university president, Don Marry said that they had one of the largest exchange programs in Ireland. Mentioning about the way they have been receiving overseas students, he said they had been welcoming international students to come to Ireland for the past two decades.

All in all, it looks like Ireland would slowly enjoy its place amongst the list of the most visited countries for education in the world.
