Rise In New South Wales International Education Earnings

As per the latest update, the education sector at New South Wales has surged ahead of the tourism industry by nearly $ 2 billion. International education has become NSW's highest service export industry. New South Wales holds one third share of the total international education earnings of Australia. The Australia's annual international education earnings is $21 billion.
The numbers of international students at NSW's Universities have increased over 30,000 in the last two years.
The Australian Bureau of Statistics data shows that, since 2013, every year NSW economy increased by $1.5 billion since 2013; from $5.5 billion to $6.96 billion in 2015.
NSW has seen drastic increase in the number of international students by 22.4 percent. In the first half of 2013, approximately 140,000 students enrolled in NSW Universities, whereas in 2015 it was 171,000. Approximately half of the international students are enrolled in Management and Commerce programs.
International students in New South Wales make up 40 percent of Australia’s student population.
