Here’s some good news to the students of Amity University. The private university, which is based in India, has inked an agreement with the UK based Global Education Management (GEM) over cooperation in student exchange programs.
Briefing the media more on this, Amity University officials have said that the deal was signed between the UK deputy prime minister Nick Clegg and Amity University director. It may be recalled that the Clegg recently toured India and entered this deal as a part of his whirlwind tour.
Elucidating the exchange programs, the deputy director of hospitality school of Amity University, Vaskar Sengupta has said that the course length would be around six months and would be offered in business and hospitality streams. He has even said that this exchange program would enable Indian students of the university to visit UK during which they would hone their technical and soft skills.
Also, he stressed that this program will not hurt the pockets of Indian students as going to UK privately just to hone skills would cost any student dearer.
When asked about the visa requirements and other formalities involved in UK’s visit, the university officials said that GEM would look into visa requirements.
