Arcadia University joins hands with India’s Global Pathways
The Arcadia University has collaborated with Mumbai’s Global Pathways Institute for crucial academic tie-ups. This was formally announced on 3 December in Mumbai during a press meet. This alliance will provide a leeway for Indian students to start their college career in the country and complete it in Arcadia University or one of the U.S. universities.

Under this alliance, the GPI will carry out Arcadia undergraduate courses of two-years which will start from spring 2015. Once this duration of study gets over, the eligible students will be able to move to the university’s Glenside, Pa., campus to finish their undergraduate course and acquire a baccalaureate degree. Students can also utilize their Arcadia transcript to apply to a different university in order to finish their baccalaureate degree or to study overseas at one of Arcadia’s numerous abroad centers.

Once the students complete their study duration in India, these GPI students would apply from GPI Mumbai to be accepted as a bona fide student of Arcadia University as per the standards applicable to those applying to the Glenside Campus.

According to the president of Arcadia University, Nicolette DeVille Christensen, this kind of transition program varied from the usual four-year study program in the U.S. and was highly valued by the Indian families. Also, the faculty of this university was given a chance to spend a semester teaching in India.
