Australia Grants $20M For Research Scholarships
The Australian Government has announced funds worth $20M to its Universities, for over 300 International Postgraduate Research Scholarships (IPRS).
This helps international students who embark on postgraduate research programs, to gain experience by working with the foremost Australian researchers.
IPRS applies to all international students except New Zealand students, who undertake a two-year masterís program or three years research doctorate. The  scholarship covers tuition fees and health insurance.
The individual universities manage the Australian Postgraduate Award (APA) scheme on behalf of the Department of Education and Training. The beneficiaries must apply for this scheme  at their respective universities, and each university has its own selection process. The Australian Postgraduate Award applies to commencing IPRS recipients. International Students in their best interest must consult their Universities regarding application procedures.
