Indian Students Going To The UK & US Varsities To Increase By 50%

As per a survey conducted by Cialfo, a Singapore-based education technology (edtech) the number of Indian students going overseas for under-graduate and post-graduate programs is expected to increase by 50 percent over the next five years. This shift can be attributed to the significant improvement in the economic conditions of the Indian families.
The inclination of the Indian Students towards getting higher education in foreign countries has been increased over the past few years. The students are willing to take an edge ahead of others by shaping their career path and enhancing their skills for getting better job prospects in the top sectors, both in India and abroad.
With the prospect of helping Indian students in securing admission in various US & UK universities, Cialfo, is looking ahead to tie up with a couple of Delhi-based educational institutions.
A British Council report stated that there were approx 21,000 Indian students in the UK during 2013-14.
As per the ‘Institute of International Education’, during the year 2014-2105, there were around 627,306 Asian students in the US out of which 132,888 were Indians.
