Indian students offered scholarships at UK universities
In a bid thatís likely to woo Indian students who wish to study in UK universities, the liberal democrat business secretary has announced that Indian students will be granted scholarships to pursue higher education at British universities.

To counter the allegations that are rife over the complex visa rules that prevent  overseas students to approach the United Kingdom, secretary Vince Cable has said that he would kick start the scholarship program with 400 scholarships, with an initial amount of one-and-half million pounds.

Briefing the media about the same, Cable said he wanted to bring back the lost positive feeling for overseas students especially Indians. He has even mentioned that some unwanted political forces were throwing pot shots at them and creating negative pictures about the scenario, and itís the need of the hour to change the same.

It may be noted that the scholarships would be given for 2015 intakes and would be applicable for both undergraduate and post graduate courses.
