Record Number of Foreign Students Enrolled In Northwest Missouri, US
The number of foreign student enrollments in school or colleges in the US, including the Northwest Missouri is on rise. The US admitted record number of international students for the first time in graduate and undergraduate levels between the 2012 and 2013 academic year, citing a report by the Institute of International Education.

The Director of international affairs and ESL, Dr. Jeffrey Foot said that the international student recruitment was going to be a feature of larger plan at Northwest Missouri State University. Hence, few commitments were outlined in budgets and staffing to enhance the activity in the area, he added.     

Notably, there are 732 students together with ESOL hailed from 31 nations at Northwest. A total of 127 foreign students from 34 countries thronged Missouri Western State University. Both the schools have witnessed that the influx of foreign students had three folded during recent times.

Sources said that students from Saudi Arabia formed the largest chunk of foreign students at western with 25, which is followed by China with 17 students, South Korea with five, India with four and rest of the two from a number of nations.

Dr. Foot said that the largest number of foreign students headed from India and Nepal. Northwest also offers the Bearcat Advantage scholarship to foreign students, which implies in-state rates. This is one of the most generous and comprehensive thing in North West where other universities views foreign students as revenue streams, stressed Dr. Foot.
