Study in USA
The U.S. continues to be the top most choice among international students for studies abroad. A total of 9,00,000 foreign students were enrolled here in the various colleges and universities during the academic year 2013-14, which is an 8% rise from the last year. This data has been obtained from the Open Doors Report, 2014 on International Educational Exchange. This survey report is conducted on an annual basis and looks into various aspects like the countries from where the students immigrate, schools enrolled in, chosen field of study, and much more.

Most of the international students come from China to study in America. Following China closely are India, South Korea, Saudi Arabia and Canada in that order. Other countries which are fast leading to the fore are Japan, Vietnam, Mexico, Taiwan and Brazil.

The United States offers a wide range of subjects to choose from, ranging from arts to social sciences. The top five courses of choice are Business and management, engineering, math and computer science, social sciences and physical and life sciences.

Even though the international student population in America is scattered throughout the different schools and universities, some colleges attract a higher percentage of this crowd. Topping the list is New York University with 11,164 foreign students taking admission here.

Student exchange programs help strengthen international relations between two countries. Last year, 27 billion dollars was added to the country’s economy which is an increase of 3 billion dollars over last year.
