Umea University to Accept Over 900 Foreign Students

UmeŚ University, Sweden will accept new foreign students heading from various countries throughout the globe. Notably, 254 exchange students heading from 36 nations are coming for the start of the spring 2015 academic term. Additionally, 732 non-exchange students have been accepted to degree programs and courses.

According to the International Student Barometer survey, foreign students have given first rank to UmeŚ University in Europe and ninth in world. Providing foreign students with good preface and social activities is vital to make them feel welcome and convenient.

The incoming exchange students headed from 36 nations and most of them are heading from Germany, which holds 30 students, followed by France and South Korea representing 18 students per nation and 15 students United States.

UmeŚ Universityís International Housing Office in association with Bostaden housing company has set student rooms for exchange students and those required to pay tuition fees. Students can take their room keys and will be greeted by staff members at Infocenter in the Universum Building.

Apparently, UmeŚ University will start its orientation course on 19 January, which is outlined to assist new foreign students to know about studying and living in Sweden. Additionally, the university offers a social program termed as the Buddy Programme. It consists of activities that take place during the whole year to assist them incorporate and adapt to new life in UmeŚ.
