University of Virginia introduces India study abroad program

As Indian students setting their sights at foreign universities, the University of Virginia has come forward for introducing a semester-long program in India.

This special program is designed specifically for Indian students who wish to study abroad. Can be called as an internship program, it will apparently enable the students to move out of their comfort zones.

Briefing more on the same, the co-director of the university has said that this program would be introduced this spring. Once the students are done with this program, they can either opt to complete the remaining three semesters at University of Virginia campus or can get the semester-long certificate.

Stressing on the course curriculum, the program co-director  Geeta Patel has said that  the program would consists of five courses and is equivalent to three-credit course.

The program would be held at Ambedkar University in Delhi. The US students too would come down to Delhi to undergo six-month’s study, said Geeta Patel. She has even mentioned that this would be a wonderful opportunity for Indian students to have a good interaction with American nationals.

The application process is currently underway and the last date for receipt of applications is 15 October, said the university officials in a note released to the press. The note even mentioned that there would be no language requirement.
