Western Kentucky University (WKU) Intends To Double Overseas Students Population
Western Kentucky University (WKU) is a leading public university in the United States, is planning to double the emerging overseas students’ population within few years. Every year a large number of international students come to the US, to pursue their higher studies in WKU.

At present, the overseas students’ population in the US is quite good, yet still the WKU is planning to double the populace in coming years. Foreign students constitute five percent of overall students’ population in the country.

Currently, 1,300 overseas students are enrolled and walk in to the campus and at least 400 more international students will enroll by the end of semester. The Western Kentucky University consists of largest classes.

The chief global officer of International Enrollment Management, Raza Tiwana, said that registering of more overseas students, brings more diversity on campus, which provides an opportunity to native students-- who are residing in the country and are unable to travel overseas, to experience an international flavor on campus or in the class room.

He added that having such an international growth is advantageous to the entire city and state economy.

WKU presidents aim is not only to achieve high growth but also to get a large number of employees and faculty, Tiwana added.
